What that song say??

One of my favorite worship songs "Here I Am to Worship" and Im not sure who was the original writer of the song, but I love it when we sing it during praise and worship at my church, Epiphany Fellowship...so here it is

Light of the world

You stepped down into darkness.

Opened my eyes, let me see.

Beauty that made this heart adore You
Hope of a life spent with You

Here I am to worship, Here I am to bow down,
Here I am to say that You're my God
You're altogether lovely
Altogether worthy, Altogether wonderful to me

King of all days oh, so highly exalted
Glorious in heaven above
Humbly You came To the earth You created
All for love's sake became poor

Here I am to worship,Here I am to bow down,
Here I am to say that You're my God
You're altogether lovely
Altogether worthy,Altogether wonderful to me

(repeat a bunch of times)
I'll never know how much it cost
To see my sin upon that cross

This last verse or breakdown (whatever you call it) blows my mind every single time and it always brings me back to reality. Im trying to think now of how I can express how I feel about those words. "I'll NEVER know how much it cost, so see my sins upon that cross"

Romans 5:6-11 "For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now receieved reconciliation." CCCCRRRAAAZZZZYYY Right!!! It blows my mind every single time and I pray that it wont become mundane to me or to the Body this is foundational truths for us...

This is one of those moments where you have to preach the gospel back to yourself. So google this song or look it up on youtube, but be encouraged through whatever is going on in your life, that it is minute in light of the work of our Savior Jesus Christ. I truly have to tell myself that often because we often get caught up in the things of this world but remember our time on this earth is a vapor in light of what is promised to those for eternity who were chosen to live out, trust and believe in the saving work of The Triune God.
